Taking over from Bala Mahadevan, who retired after a remarkable journey and outstanding accomplishments with Orange over the past decade, Chalapathi will lead Orange Business activities and growth in India.
Chalapathi is an experienced leader with a successful track record in the telecom space. With over three decades of multi-domain experience including R&D, Operations, Technology and Sales, Chalapathi joins Orange Business from Tata Communications Transformation Services Ltd (TCTS), where he served as the Chief Operating Officer. He has previously held successive leadership positions at BEL, Indian Railways, BPL, Lucent and Tata Communications Group.
